About Dr. Salas
Gustavo Salas D.D.S., M.S., is an experienced orthodontist with more than 10 years of experience who offers his expertise to his patients at City Smiles Dental and Orthodontics in Houston, Texas. Individuals and families trust Dr. Salas for exceptional, patient-focused orthodontic and dental care.
He is Board Certified Orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and has been named Houston’s Top Dentist by H Texas Magazine for the last 10 years.
Dr. Salas provides patients with his very own clear aligners called GusAligners made in-house. As an inventor, he is in the developmental stage of creating his own brand of AcceleDent therapy, which straightens teeth 50% faster than braces.

A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Salas earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. He then specialized in orthodontics while completing a Master of Science at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Dr. Salas holds the prestigious Board Certification from the American Board of Orthodontics.
When he is not working, he spends as much time as he can with his wife and children. He is also an avid Crossfitter for more than 6 years , as well as active in biking and running, participating in water sports, and playing Pickleball.
